Victor Bergman

 vic plays

Hometown: Bronx, New York

Instruments: Guitar and Vocals

Bio: Vic is a founding member of Conviction, and has been named one of “America’s Best Lawyers” every year since 1987 as voted by his peers.  He has been practicing law for over 40 years. Before that, he sang in the All-Borough Choir in Queens, NY in 1964 and that same year was the youngest employee at the New York World’s fair.  Vic never played an instrument or performed until 2012, and now loves singing and playing classic rock, and current music.

 

Steve Greenberg

Hometown: Overland Park, Kansas

Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Harmonica and Vocals

Bio: Steve started playing guitar at an early age. He is also a songwriter, and has composed some of Conviction’s original music. He had the honor of studying harmonica with the world renowned “Tulsa Read”. He is one of the founding members of Conviction, and enjoyed playing the Uptown Theater in 2014. His musical influences have been Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Santana, Crosby Stills Nash & Young to name a few. He loves playing with his fellow Conviction band members.

 

Jack Cohn

Hometown: Overland Park, Kansas

Instruments: Guitar, Drums, and Vocals

Bio: Jack started on drums and eventually transitioned to guitar. In between gigs he utilized his equipment and expertise by renting musical equipment for many performers coming through town. Some of his influences include Trey Anastasio, Dickey Betts, Eric Clapton, Jerry Garcia, David Gilmour, Carlos Santana, Pete Townshend and Joe Walsh. He has performed for private parties, bars and the Uptown Theatre in Kansas City.

 

Steve Rosenberg

Hometown: River Vale, New Jersey

Instruments: Guitar, Bass and Vocals

Bio: Doctor Steve has played in bands since age 14, including the J.Crew, The Hype, Collusion, McChicken Fajita, Y-NOT, John Doe, and Blinded by Science. Influences include U2, REM, Michael Penn, Bruce Springsteen, the Police and The Strokes. He has played at the Wakarusa music festival, The Bottleneck in Lawrence and at the Uptown theater in Kansas City.

 

Gary Katz

Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri

Instruments: Drums and Percussion

Bio: Gary has been involved with drums and computers since he could hold a drumstick and bang on a keyboard. His father, Art, was also a drummer, and his son, Jacob, plays as well.  That’s 3 generations of a very loud house. Gary is a lifelong fanatical Rush fan, a member of the amazing Marching Mizzou drumline from 1984-1987 while at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and played in any and all bands that would have him during his time in high school and college.  He founded Mac M.D. Inc. in 1992, a consulting/diagnostic firm which helps users with their Apple Macintosh/iOS issues, and also has many other passions you can find on his personal blog at macmd.com/blog.
